Privacy Policy
Last updated: 9 April 2026
This policy explains what Poise collects, how it is used, and your rights in relation to it.
What Poise collects
- Account information: your email address (or Apple ID token if you use Sign in with Apple) and, optionally, your name
- Profile data: your sport and movement goal, chosen during onboarding
- Movement screen results: scores, detected faults, and timestamps from each screening session. No video or images are stored
- Device data: standard crash and diagnostic data collected automatically by Firebase
Camera usage
Poise uses your device's front camera to analyse movement in real time. All pose detection runs entirely on your device using Google ML Kit. No video footage, images, or raw camera data are ever uploaded, stored, or transmitted.
How your data is used
Your data is used solely to operate the app: to show you your movement history, generate your corrective movement plan, and send weekly rescreen reminders if you enable them. It is never sold or shared with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
Data storage
Account and screen result data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore), hosted in the United States. Firebase's privacy policy is available at firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
Third-party services
Poise uses the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:
- Firebase (Google): authentication and data storage
- Apple Sign In: optional sign-in method
Data retention
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us at the address below.
Children
Poise is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us.
